The Model tab lets you download and manage the on-device AI model used by your personal persona. The model runs entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers.

Model selection

Choose which AI model to use. The default model is Qwen3-1.7B, selected for its balance of capability and performance on consumer hardware.

Download and status

Download the selected model directly from this tab. A progress indicator tracks the download. Once installed, the tab displays the model’s current status:
  • Idle — Model is downloaded and ready.
  • Loading — Model is initializing.
  • Done — Model has finished processing a request.
  • Error — Something went wrong. An error message is displayed with details.
